Accessibility

The standard we meet

This app is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That means it works with a keyboard alone, with screen readers, at 200% zoom, on a narrow phone screen, and in light or dark mode.

What we have done

• A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach with the Tab key.
• Every status, such as overdue, due soon or on track, is written in words as well as shown in colour.
• Text and controls meet the contrast ratios WCAG asks for, in both light and dark mode.
• Confirmation messages are announced to screen readers without moving your place on the page.
• Charts have a text summary and a table of the same figures.
• Animation is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

This is a demonstration with made-up data. Changes you make are kept only until you reload the page. We know of no accessibility barriers at present.
